On Tuesday night, the board of the Humboldt County School District in Nevada voted unanimously to shut down the Winnemucca Grammar School for renovations.
The school will be closed starting on February 2.
The students will be moved to Grass Valley Elementary as construction is completed.
Renovations for the school are to make it earthquake-safe.
The board said transportation will be in place to get students to and from Grass Valley Elementary School.
Both Grass Valley Elementary and the grammar school will be shut down from February 2 through 13 to allow time to prepare for instruction.
Grass Valley Elementary will then reopen for all students on February 17.
