UPDATE - July 17, 12:28 p.m.:
Nevada State Police say the trooper involved in Thursday’s crash in Sparks slowed before entering the intersection on a red light with emergency lights and sirens activated.
According to the Nevada State Police, the patrol car was traveling south on Pyramid Way, responding to an injury crash, when it entered the intersection at McCarran Boulevard and struck an eastbound Toyota Tacoma. The truck overturned and landed on its roof.
A woman driving the Tacoma and a man in the passenger seat reported minor injuries.
The trooper also sustained minor injuries. None of the three were transported by REMSA, though the trooper later drove himself to a hospital.
The crash is under investigation by the Nevada State Police Traffic Homicide Unit.

ORIGINAL STORY - July 17, 09:34 a.m.:
A crash between a Nevada State Police Highway Patrol car and a red truck shut down traffic in all directions around 8:12 a.m. Thursday at Pyramid Way and McCarran Boulevard.
The trooper was responding to a call with lights and sirens when the crash occurred.
The red truck rolled and landed on its roof.
Both the trooper and the driver of the truck reported injuries, but neither was transported by REMSA. The trooper later drove himself to a local hospital.
Another unit was sent to the original call after the crash.
No impairment is suspected, and the scene is expected to be cleared within the hour.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area while emergency crews complete the cleanup and investigation.
