Thousands are expected in Reno as Hot August Nights rolls into town with car shows, entertainment, and vintage parts sales happening throughout the city beginning next Friday.
Hot August Nights is back this August with a packed schedule of classic car events, entertainment, and community gatherings across Reno, including official registration and several featured attractions hosted at J Resort.
From Friday, August 1, through Friday, August 8, car participants can check in and register daily at the Cedar Event Space inside J Resort, which serves as the official registration location for the event.
Registration hours run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on most days, closing at 4 p.m. on the opening Friday and Saturday, and remaining closed entirely on Sunday, August 3.
Classic car fans can expect a full lineup starting opening weekend, including Show-n-Shine displays and official Hot August Nights merchandise booths on Friday and Saturday.
Judging and awards are scheduled for Saturday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A free live concert featuring the band New Wave Crave will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Glow Plaza.
The second half of the week will include the return of the Hot August Nights Swap Meet and outdoor car corral, running Thursday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $12 and includes access to automotive parts vendors and official oldies merchandise.
J Resort will also feature several promotions for those who sign up for the J Rewards program during registration. Offers include two-for-one buffet tickets, happy hour drink specials from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and a chance to win prizes such as a free night’s stay or electronic cash.
Hot August Nights is one of Northern Nevada’s most recognized annual events, drawing collectors, restorers, and spectators from across the country to celebrate classic car culture and vintage Americana.
