The Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit is scheduled to conduct prescribed fire operations May 26 through the 29th. The Forest Service says the work will continue through spring as weather and conditions allow.
Prescribed fires planned for the area include:
Placer County, north of State Route 28, west of Silver Pine Road, north of Olive Street, North Shore.
These areas will be closed to the public for public safety during the burns, and warning signs will be posted along roads near all prescribed fire areas. There may be smoke.
