Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue crews responded to a crash in the Joy Lake area early Sunday morning that required a low-angle rope rescue.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Crews safely removed the driver from the vehicle before building a hauling system between two fire engines to pull them back up to the road.
The driver was taken to the hospital by REMSA. Their current condition has not been released.
