Lyon County and multiple area agencies are coming together to host a Wildfire Preparedness BBQ on June 10.
Happening from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Smith Valley Fire Protection District's Station 42 at 612 Day Lane in Wellington, NV, the event gives neighbors a chance to meet with your local first responders.
Attendees can also meet with officials from the Smith Valley Fire Protection District, Lyon County Emergency Management, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office and NV Energy.
Come prepared to learn about topics like wildfire preparedness, emergency alerts and warnings, how to harden your home and property, power outages and more.
