The Washoe County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect on multiple charges, including a gun charge and parole violation, on Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies got a report of a suspect, later identified as 40-year-old David Leonard Buttz, with a gun in the area of Carnes Circle in Sun Valley. When they arrived at the scene, they found Buttz and arrested him after further investigation.

In the course of the investigation, it was found that Buttz was wanted on a felony charge of parole violation.

He was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, failure to register as a convicted person, parole violation, and an outstanding warrant for failure to comply.
