The Storey County Sheriff's Office has released details about a crash that happened on Friday on Geiger Grade.
Officials say 32-year old Steven Doyle was driving a Porsche Coupe northbound on SR-341 (Geiger Grade) around mile marker five in Storey County.
Doyle was estimated to be going around 80-85 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone when he allegedly rounded a corner too fast, swerved right to avoid hitting another car and struck the metal barrier.
The Porsche came to rest on its wheels after traveling down a dirt embankment.
Both the Storey County Sheriff's Office and Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the crash. After a medical evaluation and initial investigation, NHP arrested Doyle for suspicion of DUI and carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
One unidentified passenger in the Porsche was taken to Renown with what officials describe as non-life threatening injuries.
Steven Doyle has been booked into the Storey County Detention Facility.
