An argument over parking in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center on Tuesday morning led to a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital and another man to jail.
It happened around 6:15 a.m., and deputies were on scene within 30 seconds, according to a Facebook post from the Storey County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies arrived, they found a victim with several stab wounds to the left side and back, and immediately detained a suspect, identified as 40-year-old Adam Stoddard of Blue Rapids, Kansas.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition, though the SCSO says he is stable.
After investigating and speaking with witnesses, it was determined that Stoddard and the victim, identified as a co-worker, got into an argument about a parking issue when Stoddard allegedly pulled a fixed blade knife from his waistband and stabbed the victim five times.
Stoddard was taken to the Storey County Detention Facility and booked on charges including attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon, and battery with the use of a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm.
His bail was set at $115,000.
The incident remains under investigation.
