Mellow Fellow of Reno, a popular local restaurant and bar, announced in a Facebook post this week that it will close after 10 years of business in downtown Reno.
The post, shared on the establishment’s official Facebook page, explained that the closure comes after the business was unable to reach an agreement with the building's owners, preventing them from continuing operations into the winter.
The message, signed off with “Cheers,” thanked customers for their years of support, sharing memories and experiences with the community.
"We weren’t able to reach an agreement with the building owners to allow us to survive another winter in this location and our last day here will be August 30th," the post said.
The owners expressed uncertainty about their next steps but left the door open for a possible return in the future. "Right now we don’t know what the future holds, but maybe you’ll see us again in the future!" the post concluded.
Mellow Fellow’s closure marks the end of a decade-long presence in the downtown area, a period filled with memories, meals, and drinks shared by loyal patrons.
