Open Late Returns

A ski resort brings back late runs, racing, and tubing for bonus winter weekends ahead now.

With longer days ahead and mid-winter snow conditions settling in, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is bringing back its “Open Late” schedule starting Friday, Feb. 27. Select lifts and resort services will stay open late on Fridays and Saturdays through the end of the season.

Operations will continue until 5:30 p.m. both days until Daylight Saving Time ends on March 8. After that, the schedule extends until 6 p.m.

The Northwest Express, Lakeview Express, Wizard, and Magic lifts will remain open later on Fridays and Saturdays. The Snowdeck off the Lakeside trail will also stay open, offering beer, wine, snacks, and DJs on Friday afternoons, along with views of Lake Tahoe. Wildslide Tubing will operate late on Fridays and Saturdays as well.

The resort is also bringing back several lift ticket deals tied to the extended schedule. The Ski G.I.F. Friday Daily Special and Sleep in Saturdays tickets, available after 12 p.m., offer discounted lift access later in the day. Bonus Mondays provide discounted Monday lift tickets for people who ski at the resort the previous Saturday or Sunday, excluding holidays.

More information and advanced lift ticket purchases are available on the resort’s website.
