The Nevada Department of Agriculture is teaming up with the Reno Aces to help promote the Nevada Craft Beverage Passport.
The passport's main goal is to promote Nevada based breweries, wineries and distilleries.
After seeing a decline in interest for craft beverages in Nevada, the Department of Agriculture came up with a plan to excite people.
"Post the pandemic we saw a struggle with just getting people to go visit these craft beverage establishments and so we really just wanted to try and promote them more, and by being in the passport, folks go visit the establishment and get a stamp in their passports," said Dillon Davidson, Senior Trade Officer with the Nevada Department of Agriculture.
At the moment, there are 47 establishments that are a part of the passport program.
The passport features some local craft beverage locations, but it can also be used all over Nevada.
People using the passport can get rewards based on how much the passport gets used.
"So, if you get 10 stamps in your passport you get a prize, and then the prizes go up from there in like a tiered system, so we have baseball caps and pint glasses, and if you are one of the first five to complete the passport, you get a basket of made-in-Nevada products as well," said Dillon Davidson.
So far, Davidson said the passport has drawn a lot more interest to craft beverage businesses since the program started in 2022.
The Department of Agriculture hopes to continue adding more locations each year, so people will have new places to check off on their list.
