Families across the community will have access to free health services, basic needs resources and other support during a Family Health Festival scheduled for Saturday at Hug High School in Sparks.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 1, at Hug High School, located at 3530 Sullivan Lane in Sparks.
It is being hosted by local partners as a collaborative effort to connect health and community resources with people of all ages.
Free services available during the event include a Food Bank Mobile Harvest, back-to-school vaccines, dental screenings, SNAP registration assistance, free children's books, haircuts, a bike raffle, and basic needs resources.
Wellness checks will be offered by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (775) 535-6607.
Some services, including back-to-school vaccines and free children's books, will be available while supplies last.
