Nevada Medicaid has announced an expansion of dental benefits for adults, giving more than 374,500 members access to preventative and diagnostic dental care for the first time.Â
The new benefits include teeth cleanings, cavity repair, exams and other essential services.Â
Adults with benefits with a $1,000 annual (use before January 1 each year):Â
- Two 6-month examsÂ
- Two cleaningsÂ
- One 3-year comprehensive exam
- Silver diamine fluoride treatments
- Fillings & crowns
- Gum treatment
Benefits with no annual limit if its medically necessary according to your dentist:Â
- Treatment for pain or emergencies
- Partial and full dentures
- Expanded benefits for pregnant members
- All dental care & prior authorized orthodontics (members 20 and younger)
- Services through Indian Health Services & Tribes
