The Nevada Republican Party has re-elected Michael J. McDonald as its party chairman.

The Nevada GOP says McDonald is the nation's longest-serving state party chairman in the nation.

“While we celebrate these wins, we don’t rest,” McDonald said. “We gear up. We build. We fight. The midterm elections are around the corner, and Nevada Republicans are ready to defend our gains and win even more ground in 2026.”

McDonald was re-elected chairman during this weekend's State Central Committee meeting in Winnemucca.

Also, re-elected to their positions were Vice Chairman Jim Hindle, Secretary Barb Hawn, and Treasurer Kathy Njus.
