The New Pass Fire burning 30 miles northwest of Austin has burned an estimated 23,063 acres with 15 percent containment.
There are currently 220 personnel assigned to the fire.
Firefighters continue to encounter active fire behavior, including sustained runs, torching of individual trees and groups of trees, and spotting ahead of the main fire.
Crews will continue direct suppression operations along the north, east, and west flanks of the fire while scouting and evaluating control options on the more difficult southern edge.
No evacuations orders or warnings are in place.
