The Reno Fire Department debuted a new Type 1 fire engine Tuesday at its Station 12 in Reno, adding a new resource designed for structural firefighting.

The new engine carries 750 gallons of water, 3,500 feet of hoses, and three ladders. It is designed for structural firefighting and has the highest pump rating and complement of equipment of all the types of fire engines.

The new engine is now stationed at Station 12, which is located on Steamboat Parkway in South Reno
