A fire at an apartment in north Reno on Monday afternoon has displaced five people, while three had to be rescued from an upstairs window.

It happened just before 2:10 p.m. on Loki Court, according to a spokesperson for the Reno Fire Department.

Crews kept the fire to a single room and had it extinguished before 2:20 p.m.

Five people were displaced from two different apartments. The Red Cross is helping them, and the apartment complex is working to rehome them.

Two people were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but the RFD says there were no real injuries to those people.

No firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
