The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County will close northbound Wedge Parkway from Mt. Rose Highway to Whites Creek Lane beginning Wednesday, November 5.
The closure is expected to last about two weeks, while southbound traffic will remain open.
Access to neighborhood streets will be maintained, though during pulverizing and paving, side street access from the northbound lanes may be unavailable for up to one hour.
For neighborhoods with multiple entrances, one entrance will remain open at a time, and construction in areas with a single entrance will occur in phases.
Flagger controls will be in place, and drivers should follow business access signs to reach the Galena Junction Shopping Center.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to follow posted detours and use alternate routes, including Arrowcreek Parkway, Thomas Creek Road, and South Virginia Street.
