Many people were lining up along North Virginia Street this morning for the Northern Nevada Pride parade.

Over 100 groups and businesses began walking down the road and interacting with attendees.

One person we spoke with has been living in Reno for over ten years now, and says he has seen a lot of growth with this event.

"Over the years, we have really seen it grow. We've seen a lot more support from local businesses, local community organizations, putting their support behind this amazing event," said Joshua Lewis.

Another person told us today's parade was emotional, because of everyone coming together.

"I love it, I absolutely love it because that is what pride is about, each other, it's not sexuality. We are all a family you know as the song goes. Reno is stepping up, I'm pretty impressed and I'm proud of Reno," said Heather Beaupre.

Once the parade ended, everyone moved over to Wingfield Park to continue celebrating.

There were vendors, food, and many live performances.

Almost everyone we spoke with says they are glad they went today, and are already looking forward to attending next year.
