The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly pedestrian crash that occurred on January 6 on U.S. 50 near Gummow Drive in Fallon.
According to the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division, troopers responded to the crash at approximately 5:55 p.m.
NSP Investigators determined a Mercury Grand Marquis sedan was traveling westbound in the left lane of U.S. 50 when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the highway outside of a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel. He was later identified as 56-year-old Bradley Emery of Fallon.
The driver of the sedan remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. The Nevada Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team is handling the investigation.
Westbound U.S. 50 was temporarily closed between Bottom Road and Gummow Drive following the crash, but was later reopened.
