On early Saturday morning, at approximately 4 a.m., officers responded to the scene of possible shots fired in the area of Skyway Drive near Summit Ridge Park.
According to the Reno Police, when officers arrived, they located a car that sped away.
Eventually, officers were able to conduct a traffic stop of the car near the intersection of 3rd Street and Vine Street. Deputies say they discovered a 17-year-old who sustained a gunshot wound. Immediate medical aid was given, and the teen was sent to a local hospital, according to the police.
The 17-year-old has sustained injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police say that while conducting the traffic stop, three others were arrested on alleged charges. They also found multiple firearms inside the car, including one with an obliterated serial number.
Joran Chaudhary, who is 18 years old, was arrested on alleged charges of contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
A 21-year-old, Javier Casildo-Rios, was arrested on alleged charges of Obliterating a Serial Number on a Firearm, contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Obstructing and Resisting, and Reckless Driving.
A 16-year-old was also arrested on alleged charges of Obstructing and Resisting.
