2 News Nevada sat down for an interview with Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo Wednesday to discuss a variety of topics as the primary election approaches.

“In Lombardo’s own words, he doesn’t have a clue about what’s going on in Nevada—and what’s worse, he doesn’t care. He conveniently claims ignorance of how his puppetmaster Trump’s tariffs are taxing Nevada families $1,700 annually while working Nevadans are forced to pay soaring grocery prices, close their small businesses, and watch job opportunities in Nevada’s key industries evaporate. For the most vulnerable Nevadans—those relying on Medicaid and struggling to stay afloat in the Lombardo-Trump economy—Lombardo added insult to injury by supporting Trump kicking 100,000 Nevadans off Medicaid. It’s clear that a year after he first said Nevadans should ‘feel a little pain,’ Lombardo continues to believe Nevadans should suffer from Trump’s reckless economic policies.
“As someone who once relied on Medicaid himself and is currently fighting in court to stop Trump’s tariffs, General Ford will be a Governor who leads with compassion—not callousness like Joe Lombardo.”
