A power outage that began just before 4 p.m. in north Reno off North McCarran Boulevard has been resolved.
NV Energy is currently showing no outages in the Reno-Sparks area on their outage map.

6:17 P.M. UPDATE
Power has been restored to more than 1,000 people in a north Reno power outage.
Initially, nearly 3,800 customers were affected when the outage was announced just before 4 p.m.
That number is now just north of 2,500.
Additionally, an estimated time for power restoration for those still affected has been established.
Power is expected to be restored for the remaining affected customers by 7:30 p.m.
The cause of the outage remains under investigation.

Nearly 3,800 people are without power in north Reno, according to NV Energy's outage map.
The outage is off North McCarran Boulevard north of the University of Nevada, Reno.
3,780 people are being affected by it.
There is currently no estimated time for power to be restored.
