A power outage that was affecting more than 2,400 people in Sparks now appears to be largely resolved, and a cause for the outage has been determined.
81 people remain affected by the outage according to NV Energy's outage map.
Power is estimated to be restored to those customers by 9:30 p.m.
The cause of the outage has been identified as a car crash.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a downed power line in Sparks.
It happened in the area of Wedekind Road and Sullivan Lane.
Our crew on scene confirms the line is down and that access to a section of road has been cut off.
There are currently more than 2,400 people without power in Sparks according to the NV Energy website.
It is unclear from information on the website if this outage is related to the downed line.
