Preschoolers at the Primrose School of South Reno raised $2,925 for the Sierra Kids Foundation as part of the school’s annual Spring Fling fundraiser.
The fundraiser, 'Operation Kindness' an effort that teaches children the value of giving without expecting anything in return.
The funds raised will support the Sierra Kids Foundation’s mission to provide financial assistance to families of children with autism in Northern Nevada.
The initiative is part of a broader campaign held at Primrose schools across the country to benefit local nonprofits and bring school communities together.
“Primrose believes that teaching children the value of giving, sharing and caring is a cornerstone of early education,” the organization stated.
In addition to local donations, a portion of the money raised at Spring Fling events goes to the Primrose Schools Children’s Foundation.
Since 2020, Primrose schools nationwide have raised more than $1.5 million to support child-focused organizations and causes. The Children’s Foundation alone has contributed over $5 million to national charities.
