An air medical service company is expanding its services in Northern Nevada.
REACH Air Medical Services says their new air ambulance will respond to all of Northern Nevada.
They say there's a growing need for air ambulances with more people moving to the Reno area.
"With the growth of not only reno but sparks and everyone going up into the north valleys this will really help people get to the care they need in a much quicker fashion,” says Riley Little, Reach Air Medical Services program director.
The helicopter is equipped with everything one would find in an intensive care unit.
It can also respond to help fight wildfires in partnership with the Nevada Division of Forestry and Reno and Sparks Fire.
