The Red Cross is reminding veterans of their nationwide programs to deliver resources during crucial times.
During National Veterans and Military Families Month, their highlighting their commitment to the military community.
The Red Cross says it offers financial aid, resources, and specialized service programs that center around veterans.
Programs like their Red Cross Hero Care Network serve as their 24/7 program offering emergency communication services, financial assistance, and mental health resources.
“Military families are the unsung heroes of our nation,” said Heidi Ruster, Chief Executive Officer of the American Red Cross Utah/Nevada Region and U.S. Navy veteran. “They endure long separations, frequent relocations, and the uncertainty of military life—all while supporting their loved ones in uniform. This month, we celebrate their strength and reaffirm our commitment to standing by their side.”
The Red Cross also offers workshops and training that are designed to prepare veteran families for the challenges of military life, deployments, and reintegration.
“Military life is full of uncertainties, but the Red Cross is here to provide stability and support,” Ruster added. “Our programs help families build the skills and confidence they need to face whatever comes their way.”
