Today is the first of many Throwback Thursdays for the Reno Aces. The team had their first home game on Tuesday, and they continue to keep history alive by paying tribute to the Silver Sox every Thursday.

This is the second year that the Reno Aces are hosting Throwback Thursdays celebrating the Silver Sox in many ways - such as merchandise. Fans can match with the team players by wearing silver and blue jerseys, accessories, and jackets.

Eric Edelstein, President of Reno Aces, says, "We will have Silver Sox uniforms, hats, all the graphics will reflect the Silver Sox, and this is also with Throwback Thursdays, we have throwback pricing in our Thirsty Thursday promotion."

This means that every Thursday, Coors Lights will be $2 throughout the entire season. Edelstein says former Silver Sox players, managers, or team presidents will come out to watch games and throw first pitches. They'll even pay tribute through music from the 70's and 80's.

Edelstein tells us it's important to them that they connect to this team's past: "We know that there are many, many that have come before; and there is an entire generation of professional baseball here in Reno that sort of stopped, and so this keeps those memories alive - it keeps that history alive."

And as far as other future events this season, the Reno Aces are partnering with Disney for the first time with some exciting themed home games.

"The first opportunity there is Friday, April 25th, which is going to be Princess Night. So we're going to have, you know; themes, music, video, all through the night - as well as really cool jerseys that have Disney princesses on them along with the Aces."
