The Reno Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm at a building on Mill Street on Friday evening.
Firefighters confirmed a fire in the building and suspect a lithium-ion battery as the cause.
The building is occupied by a hazardous materials recycling company.
It is unknown if anyone has been injured in this incident or the extent of any possible damage.
An investigation into the fire is underway.
