A free community forum on Tuesday in Reno will give residents a chance to share their experiences and ideas about safer, healthier, and more accessible ways to get around.

The event details were shared by the University of Nevada, Reno, University Police Department’s Northern Command in an online post. The forum is being hosted by the Nevada Department of Human Services.

The forum is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Department of Human Services located at 10375 Professional Circle in Reno. It is designed as an interactive, structured conversation where neighbors of all ages can discuss how they move through the community and help identify potential solutions.

People who walk, bike, roll, drive or use public transportation are invited to participate. Organizers say participants will have opportunities to exchange ideas, share perspectives and help develop solutions aimed at safer mobility, healthier environments and smarter travel options.

The Reno gathering is part of a series of forums taking place across Clark County, Washoe County and Carson City.
