The Reno Police Department and Reno Fire Department teamed up to rescue a suspect from the Truckee River Thursday night.
It happened off of East 2nd Street.
There were concerns the suspect in the river might be armed, prompting RPD and RFD to work together according to a spokesperson.
The suspect eventually cooperated with authorities and was talked out of the water without incident. They are now in custody.
Authorities would not say what the person is suspected of.
There were no reported injuries.
