Throughout May, the Reno Police Department Traffic Division conducted safety operations in pedestrian and school zones.
During the operations, 100 traffic tickets and 37 warnings were issued, according to a release from the RPD.
Operations were conducted in designated pedestrian safety zones in the downtown area or within an active school zone.
School zones were selected based on input from citizens related to unsafe driving in those zones.
Police focused their efforts on drivers and pedestrians who were breaking laws important to pedestrian safety.
