It is day seven of the Reno Rodeo and this year they have a lot of new things going on.
They have the fashion show, the Doc Bar Speakeasy, and even their indoor arena viewing party.
This is a great opportunity for those who haven't been able to get tickets for the day but still want to be included or even just cool off during those hot nights.
"All the rodeo tickets are sold out and a lot of people want to come and watch the rodeo," said Andi Morency, Director with Reno Rodeo. "We have rodeo fans that are missing out on their rodeo this year, so this gives them an option to do that. The other thing that we think is great is that it's good for families."
Morency says the viewing party is a great option for people with large families that can't afford the pricier rodeo tickets.
She tells us lots of people have been coming in and watching the rodeo the whole time while also taking advantage of the local vendors surrounding the arena.
There are also other fun events inside like line dancing and raffles. The viewing parties also have an announcer to help explain everything throughout the show.
"We got it playing live so you're watching exactly what's going on in the arena but I'm walking you through a bunch of different things, explaining the events to people who don't know the western way of life in the rodeo, and I'm telling you about cowboys and cowgirls, trying to create fans on that as well, but we're doing a lot of giveaways too," said Garrison Allen, Host of Reno Rodeo viewing party.
You can check out the viewing parties here every night from 5 to 10:30 until the last day on Saturday. Admission is included with the $10 grounds fee.
