The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) has received $20 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) through the Airport Terminal Program (ATP), a part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
The Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) competed with airports across the country for this limited grant funding that will contribute to the New Gen A&B concourses project, part of the MoreRNO Infrastructure Program.
This grant application received widespread support from top leaders at the federal, state, and local levels and the funds will be utilized to support the construction activities underway for the New Gen A&B concourses as part of the $1+ billion MoreRNO infrastructure program.
RNO says it received the largest single award of any small-hub airport in federal fiscal year 2026.
In total, RTAA has received $33 million in federal grants during the five-year lifespan of the ATP, making RNO one of the most successful grant recipients in comparison to airports of similar size across the country.
The funding received has also supported the construction of the new highly efficient and sustainable central utility plant that will power the New Gen A&B concourses project.
