The dust has settled, and 2 News Nevada's own Ryan Canaday has placed second in the first-ever Lip Sync Legends: A Behavioral Health Tribute, losing by a single point.

The event was held at Reno Public Market, and Grant Denton with Karma Box claimed victory.

"It was fun, and we all raised a ton of money," said Ryan Canaday, adding that the event raised $16,000 for Vitality Unlimited, a nonprofit that provides behavioral health and recovery services throughout Northern Nevada.

The countdown is nearly over ~ and it’s all in support of mental health awareness and recovery.

This Friday, 2 News Nevada’sYour 2 Cents” anchor Ryan Canaday will take the stage at Reno Public Market for the first-ever Lip Sync Legends: A Behavioral Health Tribute ~ a high-energy night of music, laughter, and friendly competition ~ all for a good cause.

The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, and raises money for Vitality Unlimited, a nonprofit that provides behavioral health and recovery services throughout Northern Nevada.

Canaday will join a lineup of community leaders, advocates, and local personalities in a lip-sync battle where two titles are up for grabs: Lip Sync Legend of 2025 and Top Fundraiser of the Year.

The public helps decide both titles. Voting is simple: $1 = 1 vote, and every dollar goes directly to support Vitality Unlimited’s programs. Voting is open now and continues through the night of the event.

“This is more than just a fun night out,” organizers said. “It’s a way for the community to rally around mental health and recovery in a really entertaining and uplifting way.”

Tickets are required and can be purchased online. Food and drinks will be available at Reno Public Market, and attendees can also win prizes throughout the evening.
