Nevada authorities have arrested a man who investigators say spent more than 11 years as a fugitive after absconding from probation.
Tyler Bloom was arrested July 23 in Las Vegas by the Nevada State Police Division of Parole and Probation Warrants and Extraditions unit and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force.
He was wanted in Nevada on a probation violation after authorities said he absconded from supervision in October 2015. The arrest was part of the U.S. Marshals Service's Operation Adam's Watch.
Bloom was previously convicted of attempting to lure a child or mentally ill person through the use of technology after communicating with a child for sexual purposes.
Court records provided by authorities show Bloom was sentenced July 25, 2012, to a suspended prison term of 12 to 36 months and placed on probation for a term not to exceed four years. Authorities said he absconded from supervision on Oct. 27, 2015, after four prior probation violations.
After Bloom failed to register, the Nevada State Police Division of Parole and Probation obtained an arrest warrant, according to the information provided.
A joint investigation by the Nevada State Police Division of Parole and Probation Warrants and Extraditions Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force led investigators to Bloom's location and arrest. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on related charges.
