The Spanish Springs Cougars wrapped up a season they will remember for a long time.
The team went into the state finals undefeated and left Las Vegas with a 13-win season after defeating the Faith Lutheran Crusaders on Tuesday night at Allegiant Stadium to claim the Nevada 5A state title.
Spanish Springs beat Faith Lutheran 42 to 23.
The Cougars put up 14 points in each of the first three quarters. Faith Lutheran tried to close the gap in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 points while the Cougars went scoreless, but Spanish Springs had already built a lead that held until the end.
The Cougars entered the championship with a 12-win run and ended their season with 13 wins. 2 News Nevada received several videos and photos from the game that captured the players, the coach, the cheerleaders, and the crowd that filled the stadium in support.

Spanish Springs cheerleaders also made the trip after fundraising efforts and community donations helped cover their costs.Â
