A woman was arrested in Sparks on Thursday on charges including the attempted murder of her child.
On July 2, just before 9 a.m., a woman identified as 46-year-old Maria Guerrero-Guerrero of Sparks allegedly told staff at a local court that she had tried to hurt her children, according to a release from the Sparks Police Department.
While Sparks Police detectives investigated, they found that a child victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries related to the incident.
Guerrero-Guerrero was arrested and taken to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
She faces charges including attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon and child abuse with the use of a deadly weapon.
