SPCA Giving Tuesday Flyer

The SPCA of Northern Nevada is inviting the community to make a difference this Giving Tuesday through a $70,000 matching campaign that will double every donation dollar-for-dollar from November 1 through December 5.

Funds raised during this crucial campaign will directly support SPCA-NN’s lifesaving initiatives, including rural and community shelter rescue partnerships, its affordable vaccine clinic and community programs, Todd’s Medical Fund, which provides veterinary financial aid, and affordable spay and neuter services.

The SPCA of Northern Nevada is a local, independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that does not receive funding from, nor is it affiliated with, the national ASPCA or any government agencies.

The organization relies entirely on generous community donations to sustain its mission.

Community members are encouraged to get involved, as even small contributions make an impact.

According to SPCA-NN, if every supporter donated just $10, the organization could surpass its fundraising goal.

Throughout the campaign, the SPCA-NN will highlight inspiring stories of pets whose lives have been transformed by donor support, including:

  • Scout (now Riely) – a young dog rescued through SPCA-NN’s Rural Rescue Partnership who overcame a broken leg and found love and adventure thanks to expert medical care and community generosity.
  • Trinity (now Doja) – a kitten transferred from a rural partner who received lifesaving surgery and now thrives with confidence in her new home.
  • Button (now Bug) – a six-month-old puppy whose eye was saved using an innovative, donor-funded serum created by SPCA-NN’s veterinary team. She now lives happily with her new family.
  • Lauren (now Sadie) – a senior dog who captured the hearts of her adopters after months of specialized care and community support.

“These stories represent the lasting impact donor support makes, helping pets not just survive, but thrive in loving homes,” the SPCA-NN said.
