A bomb threat against Spring Creek Middle School in Elko County prompted an evacuation at that school and lockdowns at two others on Thursday.
The school got a call about the possible threat at 2:36 p.m., according to a statement from the Elko County School District.
Spring Creek Middle School students were evacuated to Spring Creek High School, while Sage Elementary School and Spring Creek High School were placed on lockdown.
Law enforcement conducted a thorough search of the campuses and confirmed there was no active threat.
"The safety and security of students and staff remains our highest priority," said a district spokesperson. "We understand situations like this are alarming for families, and we appreciate the patience and cooperation shown by our students, staff, parents, and community throughout the response process."
An investigation into the person responsible for the threat is ongoing.
