In recognition and support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Nevada Cancer Coalitions' "Bras for a Cause" for their 6th annual "Paint Nevada Pink" will host a "Blinged-Out-Bras" fashion show and mobile exhibit.

The evening event will reach a finale when the City of Reno turns the Arch pink for the month of October.

All community members, organizations, and businesses are invited to come and using a bra as a canvas, decorate and create an original, inspiring, or funny, art-inspired breast cancer masterpiece that will be showcased in a mobile exhibit.

The first 40 decorated bras can be entered into the "Bras for a Cause" fashion show.

All entry fees and money raised will go to Nevada Cancer Coalition's Patient Assistance Fund to support breast screening and diagnosis for those in need.

The "fashion show" will take place on Tuesday, October 1 in Downtown Reno at Locomotion Plaza located at 301 N. Virginia Street, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

All decorated bras will later be showcased at various locations throughout northern Nevada for the month of October, to raise awareness for the need for breast cancer screening.

The cost of entry into Bras for a Cause is $20 for individuals and $75 for businesses. Anyone can register.
