A woman who allegedly started a fire near Leonesio Drive in Sun Valley has been identified by authorities.

Shelly Dawson was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree arson.

Authorities have arrested a woman in connection with an alleged arson fire near Leonesio Drive in Sun Valley.

Fire crews responded to the fire around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. 

They say the backyard fire spread to neighboring yards; power lines and several trees were also impacted. 

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. 

Deputies were on scene in case nearby evacuations were needed but were not.
