The Great Reno Balloon Race is partnering with Reno Tahoe and the RennerVation Foundation this year to offer free tethered air balloon rides to the community.
The 2024 edition of the GRBR is happening from September 6 through 8 at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.
Together, the collaborators are bringing Tico the Sloth, a special shaped hot air balloon to the festival.
Tico the Sloth is a balloon owned by Monahan Airways, and has been commissioned to provide tethered rides each day of the festival.
Selected people will be able to redeem one ride on any day they are at the park, weather and time permitting.
Tico will be set up on Field 1 on the east side of the park - the free rides will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 10:30 a.m.
