Eureka County Sheriff's Office

Eureka County Sheriff's Office responded to a threat received by dispatch against Eureka Elementary School.

Deputies arrived within minutes of the threat Tuesday and locked the school down.

The sheriff's office worked with Nevada State Police, Nevada Division of Investigation, and White Pine Sheriff’s Office to make sure there was no threat to children and the community.

When it was determined there was no longer a threat, the lockdown was lifted. Law Enforcement stayed in the area until the students were let out for the day.

The Eureka County Sheriff's Office say investigators will exhaust all avenues to find the person responsible for the swatting call and will provide updates as progress is made.
