Three people face charges after a months-long drug investigation in the Dayton area.
The Nevada State Police - Tri-NET Narcotics Task Force served multiple search warrants at an apartment complex in Dayton.
Authorities say Carol Avalos and Joel Serrato took part in selling drugs in Lyon County, Storey County, and Carson City.
They say officers found approximately 66.3 grams of cocaine valued at $9,900, two guns, more than $6,500 in cash, digital scales, and hundreds of small plastic baggies consistent with drug distribution.
Avalos and Serrato were arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail on related charges.
Preston Shahan was also arrested in the investigation.
The operation was conducted with the assistance of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, the Nevada State Police Parole and Probation Division, and the Nevada State Police Major Crimes Unit.
