According to a recent report, the enrollment numbers at Truckee Meadows Community College have jumped up past 11,000 students.
This number marks a return to pre-COVID levels of enrollment.
TMCC says that the rise comes in part because of expanded services, modernized facilities, and thriving student life.
According to Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeffrey Alexander, "Our president has made a tremendous effort to build [services] out in a way that other colleges haven't done, and I think we've kept pace there. As the student population grows and as we have an in-person student population with at least half of our full-time enrollment, that begets further opportunities, like athletics and a fitness center."
The school says another thing that's attracted students is new equipment and improved facilities like learning labs for programs in Technical Science and Public Health.
