Traffic on Geiger Grade from North B Street to Seven Mile Canyon Road has been reduced to one lane for shoulder work, according to the Storey County Sheriff’s Office in an online Facebook post.
The speed limit in the area has been lowered to 25 mph, and flaggers are directing traffic.
The sheriff’s office reminded drivers that fines double in construction zones.
They also credited Storey County Public Works for providing additional signage to help keep Nevada Department of Transportation workers safe during the project.
Drivers are encouraged to plan for possible delays and proceed cautiously through the area.
