A Sparks City Councilmember's trial over a DUI charge has been continued until October.
Deputies arrested Joe Rodriguez last February along Pyramid Highway.
The Nevada Department of Public Safety fired him as the State Fire Marshal a few days later.
Several state witnesses testified on Monday before it was decided to continue the trial to October 7.
Rodriguez has pleaded not guilty.
