Fernley Suspects Migshots

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects on drug-related charges in Fernley on Wednesday.

On September 16, detectives got information about a home in Fernley believed to contain drugs and guns.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the area of the Villa Mobile Home Park in Fernley, and a search warrant was obtained and served.

Two people were found in the home and detained, according to a release from the LCSO.

Evidence was found of illegal drug sales, as well as guns and drug paraphernalia.

The two suspects, 29-year-old Fernley resident Kody Gitthens and 19-year-old Fernley resident Emma Burns, were arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail.

At the same time that detectives were given information about drugs and guns at the home, they also received information about a possible homicide and a dead body in the home. That tip was ultimately unsubstantiated.

Detectives were able to determine the homicide was unfounded, and no evidence of a homicide was found.

An investigation into the case is ongoing, with detectives continuing to review evidence.
